Re: LPGA Asian players i am wondering if drivers or 3w should have lie angles fit for taller people. when i watch the shorter womens approach the ball the angle of the club is so flat the toe is almost pointing straight up which kind of promotes a draw or hook swing, like ball above your feet. i am 6 1 and tried to simulate this and i had to squat considerable and was able to drive the ball straight with out much thinking. when i take my normal stance the club head sits flat. its almost like the taller ya are the longer the club you should be able to handle if the lie of the head is adjusted. any thoughts?

Re: LPGA Asian players In this day and age of Ti drivers and Kobe or Maraging steel, bending woods is more or less out of the question.

Re: LPGA Asian players I am only 5'4" and hit it a fair way.As I stated on the leverage thread I started.I was having a lesson years ago from Eddie Whitcombe a small man and ex Ryder cup player. He said"A smaller player makes up for statue by creating more leverage".I understand this now with the leverage being created by the acute angle of the hands coming into the hitting zone. I have watched all the greats over the years(the small ones of course being my idols),Gary Player,Trevino,Huggett,Penero,Woosie, they all took large divots with medium and short irons.I believe is due to this acute angle into the ball. As for the driver I hit it very straight, due I think to the fact small people come into the hitting zone on a more parallel plane to the ground, before impact and after it. Just for reference i am 66 play off 8, played off 5 in my younger years.
