Graduating to the course

Hi,

I have been practicing quite regularly on driving ranges for about 3 months now. Finally, I will be going to play on a 9 hole range this Friday. Given that I have experienced playing only on artificial turf, is there any adjustments that I may need to make when I start playing on real grass? e.g. I think it might be easier to hit down on the ball on real grass as I expect the course to be softer than artificial grass (or maybe not?). Also, I haven't used the tee yet on the driving range with my irons and was wondering how I should approach any iron tee shots on the range (play with or without the tee, if play with tee how much to tee up, etc).

Any advise will be appreciated!
