| How will I know when I am course ready? I have had 5 lessons and I practice 3 to 5 times a week at the range. I have several things I am working on, one is swing speed. I have been invited to a beginner's tournement on May 19th but I am so nervous about going on a course. The tourney is a 9 hole scramble. Any advice? Debbie |

| Re: How will I know when I am course ready? The advice is simple...have fun. Scrambles are as easy as it gets where noone cares how bad you play, becase everyone is playing from the same spot each time and there is no pressure on you (unless you are the last player having to hole out the last putt, but those are resurved for your best player), and unless you are the best player on your team, then you will usualy go first, and that has the least pressure. You also have no worries about "edicate" or rules, becase there will be others there that will be right next to you and they should be able to walk you through the rules as you go.

You're in the best beginner format ever: The scramble. Everyone hits, then 3 of you pick up your ball and take it to the best shot. Then you all hit again. Rinse and repeat. Have a good time, let us know how it goes! |

| Re: How will I know when I am course ready? I would go and play, there really is not a lot of pressure in a scramble, since you play from the best shot. Also if you do go play 9 before hand I would suggest finding a time when there is the fewest people on the course. That way you can take your time no rush being pushed by the group behind you. Bob |

| Re: How will I know when I am course ready? I agee with the previous post. If it is a beginners tourney there shouldn't be much pressure as you are all learning something new. Scrambles can be a lot of fun too. Also a good idea about getting out and playing when the course is not busy. It will help you get used to being out there without being rushed so you can relax and enjoy it. Good luck! |

| Re: How will I know when I am course ready? The Tourney was FANTASTIC!!! And we came in 3rd place! Thanks Everyone! I just got a new Hybore ladies driver for my birthday because my Hubby is so happy that I am out practicing 5 nights a week at the range. Things are improving slowly and I am going to "golf camp" in July at Wild horse resort in Pendleton OR. Thanks for the support!!! Debbie |
