I'm New, and need help!!!

I've been playing golf for about 6 months, both on the course and at the range. I seem to be having problems with blocking, I thought it was a slice but a PGA Pro told me it was a block. Any suggestions or drills to help over come this obsticle?

Blocking the shot will send the ball straight off right. It is caused by a late release of the club through the ball, here are a few things to check:

The ball is too far back in your stance

You are not releasing your wrists early enough causing your hands to get too far ahead of the ball at impact

You are rotating your shoulders and body too far ahead of your hands

You are trapping your right elbow behind your right hip.

The problem is in there somewhere.

I'll work on all of them, bound to fix it that way.

i am no expert but my bad shot at the moment is a slight push/block and it all comes down to clearing my hips to early. so i need to slow my hip turn down abit and it works for me.
