Re: hitting the ball 2 high

agree with above, but almost impossible to tell without seeing your swing. Open club face usually goes right, not necessarily high, or you can hook by over rotating the hands to overcompensate for the open clubface. A common reason for going high is a breakdown of the left wrist at impact, such that it is bent and at an angle with the club, rather than flat with the club shaft and no angle. This can often happen when you stop your body from turning though the ball to a full rotation. Essentially, you stop rotation and follow through and the hands take over. Again, this is effect not cause. The cause for this is probably somewhere in the address or back swing. Hope this helps.

Re: hitting the ball 2 high

open face + out-in swing equals high and ****py

However, it may be something totally different
check where your divots point.
Do you slice your low irons and woods usually?

I hit a high ball (and so does Tiger ) as long as you not doing anything wrong the a hig ball isnt bad.
I dont lose any distance (or at least if I do Im not bothered by it, Im still above average, 5iron from 160m)
A high ball is handy for driving, makes it much easier to judge carry as most of it is carry and makes it easier to stop the ball on the green, how bad?
