| Hello, I am trying out for the girls golf team at my high school and i was wondering what I should do to prepair myself? I have only played putput before and I don't quite know what I am doing. What should I do first? Cindy ![]() |

| Re: new golfer of Michigan The good news, Cindy, is that you've got some time to prep. The snow isn't gone yet - so now is the time to ask some golfer friends (or the Golf coach) who the best instructor around is. Then go see them. Explain that you don't have a swing, and that you're dying to learn how to swing the club properly. Any instructor will get you taking small swings, learning how to compress the ball well. You've got time to work up to a full swing. If you're looking to get on the team this year, you need to work very diligently at the drills that you'll be given. Take the time to learn how to hit the ball properly NOW, so that you don't waste time trying to undo all the things you've been doing wrong later. Good luck in your quest!
