| US Open pairings 2008 It has been announced that the pairings for the 2008 US Open will be by World Rankings. That is aimed at decreasing weather as a factor among better ranked players. In the past certain players have had noticiable advantages while other players that could have contended were made non-factors by harsh weather. (Like the US Open where Mickelson, Els, and Garcia were assulted by stong winds and rain while Woods got off lucky with no wind and no rain). http://www.thegolfchannel.com/core.a...2&select=26130 Do you like the decision to group players by World Rankings for their pairings? Do you believe this will help reduce conditions as a factor reducing the advantages and disadvantages some of the players may have otherwise had? |
