| May as well start the chatter on the biggest and best golf team event. Personally I believe that Europe head into this clash with an extremely fresh and talented bunch of guys. Whilst the USA on paper has a seamingly unstoppable team, I think Europe stand a very good chance of defending their trophey. Good Luck to all. What do you guys think? Here are the teams: TEAM USA Captain Hal Sutton Team Members Tiger Woods Phil Mickelson Davis Love III Jim Furyk Kenny Perry David Toms Chad Campbell Chris DiMarco Fred Funk Chris Riley Jay Haas (Wild Card) Stewart Cink (Wild Card) Assistant Captains Steve Jones Jack Burke TEAM EUROPE Captain Bernhard Langer Team Members Paul Casey Darren Clarke Luke Donald (Wild Card) Sergio Garcia Padraig Harrington David Howell Miguel Angel Jiménez Thomas Levet Paul McGinley Colin Montgomerie (Wild Card) Ian Poulter Lee Westwood Vice Captains Thomas Björn Anders Forsbrand

| Re: Who will Win The Ryder Cup??? Looks like Europe has a good side this year so I'm hoping for them. We have very little TV coverage. It seems that they are only interested in football and adverts. I'm hoping to catch the highlights on CNN news. |

| Re: Who will Win The Ryder Cup??? On paper, the US looks like it will dominate. The reality is that the PGA Tour has more international players in it than ever. Europe has a very good chance of winning. |

| Re: Who will Win The Ryder Cup??? After day 1 Europe 6 1/2 USA 1 1/2 I never would have predicted such a score, with Tiger and Phil losing both their matches. |

| It certainly was an interesting first day. I think there were probably a few stern words from captain Sutton last night. Don't count the USA out, they will come out fighting tomorrow - they wont want to lose this one. But if Monty and co put on a show like they did yesterday it will make it tough for them to come back. Also it is important that the European team take a lead into the singles, remember that the USA allways do well in the singles. It should make for some fantastic viewing, as the American crowd will be all that more behind their trailing team should their performance improve.

| His performance in that Ryder Cup has made me wonder if this might inspire him and regain his enthusiasm for the majors... you never know after all this is golf. ![]() |
