Your tips for the US Open

Can Phil contimue the Mickel-slam ?

Will Tiger win this one for his father?

Is Vijay back in town?

Me, im going for Goosen .. think his putting could be the difference. Think one of the europeans could be an outside bet, maybe Howell or Donald IF they can ever put it together for 4 rounds outside the euro tour

Re: Your tips for the US Open

I'm sorry pnearn.

I have to totally disagree with you regarding goosen winning us open. in-fact , i don't think he will win a single tournament this year because lately he has folded more times than a nervous poker player. sergio can't putt , singh only won last week because everybody else fell apart , including mickelson, which leaves only the bookies favorite TIGER WOODS.

Ernie els has a chance if his knee holds up

What a great story it would be for Tiger to win one for the man who helped him become who he is. That's what movies are made of.

Can you tell I'm pulling for Tiger?

Did you hear the story about how he put his name on the practice range board in the slot next to Tiger's. Said his hands were shaking as he tried to write!

Re: Your tips for the US Open

I think the little Hawaiian kid will have to shoot about -1 or -2 tomorrow to make the cut. I guessing it will be about +10, unless they use the rule of within 10 of the leader, then I think it will be around +8.

A lot of big name players will have to shoot even par or a little better to make the cut.

Those greens look to be absolute killers, but i think it is great for the pro game, after all the emphasis on long drives and technology killing the game, its good to see the BEST in the world being humbled by the putter

Howell is taking his good form into this event. Shame about his closing holes he could have been 4 under!

Re: Your tips for the US Open

Have a €5 on Howell at 54/1. Was getting very excited last night when he was 4 under and teeing off on a short Par 4 with an iron. Delighted he was playing safe - then he hooks it into the deep rough..........DAMN.

It all went down hill from there............

Hopefully he'll keep the good form for the weekend.

Re: Your tips for the US Open

Darren Clarke started well today, 2 under and down to +1

Tiger now at +8 .. how long since he missed the cut in a major? Has it ever happened?
