Lightbulb Half Pitch

Just a quick tip but I play with so many that don't use it...

When you want to hit a shorter pitch shoit take distance off by gripping down the club. This way you can still use an equally aggresive swing and there is less chance of quitting on the shot.

Hope this helps.

PS: The further you grip down the shaft the more distance you take off. But don't go to the steel

Thumbs up Re: Half Pitch

Good advice Garcia, I also use this method for pitching. It is worth going to the practice ground and picking out various distance targets within 100 yards and using this advice - going up and down the grip accordingly.

Re: Half Pitch

hi
if i go down the grip an inch i lose 7 yards on all my full shots and its an easy way to take 7 yards of a shot.
if you hit your 7 iron say 145 and your 8 iron 130 then you know you have an inch down on a 7 iron to give you 138.
cheers
Bill
