Ive played around with this drill just on the carpet in my hall. And I can definately say this helps!

Even just to give you a feel of distance control and lining up putts. Since using this drill I very rarely 3 putt from inside 15ft (I used to do this a lot) and Im definately nailing the odd longish putt!

However my very long putts do need some work, but thats difficult to master when your hall is only about 15ft long!
