Super slice Now that you have helped me with my chipping. I have another part of my game that needs a little work. When I pull out my driver or woods I have to turn to my left in order to hit the ball in the fairway. I have spent a number of hours at the range trying different approaches but so far the only thing I can come up with is to leave them in my bag. Doing that would drastically hurt my distance ...... I know I am losing distance by hitting the * banana ball * ....... any suggestions ??? T.J.

Re: Super slice I used to have the same problem. I figured it was impossible to fix and all i had to do was compensate for my slice and the ball would end up in the fairway. Well by opening up your stance you acomplish the exact opposite of what you want. Try closing your stance quite a bit. i.e. if you usally aim 15 yards left of the fairway try aiming 15 yards or so right. Think in your mind about still swinging to the left side though. This causes your hands to come around faster and you might start to draw the ball a little. Just play with your stance and try to come up with a happy medium. No idea if you understand what i mean or not but it worked for me. Good luck.

Re: Super slice My slice was caused by turning my shoulders around my spine (imagine spinning or turning a 'T') - this was accentuated by pulling and pushing with my right shoulder (I'm a RH Golfer). This push with my shoulder caused me to hit from the outside, leaving no choice but to compensate and bring the club back inside - giving an out to in swingpath, causing a slice. My swing is now reaching across my chest with my left arm instead, letting my upper right arm hang and my right arm fold, keeping my right elbow down. Now I leave my right shoulder 'dead', and my swing path is in to out - and my slice is gone except for when I try to kill the ball (and pull and push with the right shoulder).
