| Stan Utley's bunker technique I am wanting to improve my bunker shots and trying to get Stan Utley's bunker style- I wanted to find another member online who was using the technique and willing to trade secrets. I try to keep my weight centred and flick the club through the sand, but the ball seems to come out low, rather than the high soft shot he describes. What am I doing wrong? |

| Re: Stan Utley's bunker technique Hi Charlie, I have been using this technique for a little while now with results I am happy with. Two things stand out in what you wrote: 1. He talks about having your weight more on you front leg with the ball in the centre of your stance. 2. I think you may be decelerating the club head before impact. Try a 1/2 backswing with a high follow thru accelerating the club thru the shot. Christopher |
