Lightbulb Practice Balls VS Regular Balls

Is there a difference between balls that are marked PRACTICE. These are NEW and never used but all are marked PRACTICE. Wondering if there is a quality difference and if so is there a way to find out....

Thanks for your time...

Re: Practice Balls VS Regular Balls

They have usually failed in some level of quality check by the manufacturer. What is great out that, is that you will not be able to tell. There might be a smudge in teh lable, or a dimple might be out of round, or the cover might be chipped....that's about it. So play them and you won't know the difference except in you wallet.

In other words, they're pretty much X-OUT's.

Re: Practice Balls VS Regular Balls

I was at a pro tournament earlier this year and managed to find a titleist pro v1x with practice written on it beside the range. Would these guys have been practicing with balls that were imperfect? or do they have special ones for tournaments.

Re: Practice Balls VS Regular Balls

Just as Greg said, there is probably only a small imperfection, such as the label was smudged or dimple was the wrong size or something so small the average player would never notice. For the pros it's only practice - they are not making their money on the range.
