Re: Putting problems

Hey all, not trying to cause a heated battle here but I do not see that it takes anymore time to line up the logo or line or whatever is on it to the line you want, especially on the breakers. As far as the group behind, well, they can wait because they aren't going to go anywhere anyway because of the group ahead, and maybe if there playing up that fast they might need to focus on those putts a little more that I'm sure they missed .No gimmies in this game.

Re: Putting problems

Hi Dawg,

It's not lining up the logo that's the problem. It's those people that get totally anal about it, and line the ball up, then step away to look at it, then decide it has to be tweaked 1 micron, and over and over again. That's tough, even for the players in the same foursome to watch this, especially if they may be falling behind the group ahead.

I would say it doesn't matter, putting is so individual and the only key seems to be to feel comfortable. Look how open Floyd, Nicklaus and loads of others stand when they putt, nothing but the face of the putter is lined up. Throw a ball somewhere, you don't have to be lined up that precisely, your body knows instinctively.
