Re: 2 bar putter

The Guerin-Rife 2 bar putter?

My brother in law should be getting one today.

I chose between it, the nickent pipe, and the Mentor Sports Triad 2.

I stand by my choice.

Just get a Scotty Cameron and be done with it. It'll be the last putter you'll ever buy. It is not hype, it's simply the best putter made.

I can say the same thing about my Cleveland 'designed by' putter.... everyone who has ever tried my putter has fallen in love with it.

I've owned a couple 'Copy Camerons' now - and I still think the MentorSports Triad 2 is a better putter. The ball starts rolling right away, holds it line, and the best part is you can make it weight whatever you like.

I had a Cameron Mid Sur - tried it as a belly - hated it. Reshafted it to 36". Loved the heavy-headed standard putter, but it just wasn't forgiving on mishits.

Got a newport 2.5 in a raffle. Tried it. It was ok - but the same problem. Hopping off the face, no forgiveness.

Got an Odyssey 2 ball. Best putter to it's date - but the ball still liked to hop off the face. This makes it really tough to hold a line.

Mentor Sports Triad 2. The ball rolls right away. Weight the putter to dial in your preferred weight - and watch the putts drop.

Re: 2 bar putter

I didn't realize there were different models. the one I saw was advertised on the golf channel - used by Dana Quigley. goes for about $200.00 new. has a weighting system and can adjust the lie angle.

Re: 2 bar putter

The adjustable lie angle is what makes the 2bar unique. No matter what putter you buy, if the lie angle is not right for you, you will miss more putts than you should. Even a cheapie putter that has been fitted to your stroke will sink more putts than an exspensive one that has not been fitted. GJS

After seeing the 2 bar in action (and seeing the putts it's dropped), I'd say it was worth the price my brother in law paid...

Thumbs up Re: 2 bar putter

Its, a better putter than I am. I think thats the key. It's not the stick in the hand but the hand that has the stick. need to just keep practicing. No putter made will make you a good putter.

Re: 2 bar putter

this is a great putter. Its the puteer I use in all of 2005 and
still is in my bag. My point was, if your not a good putter now
you need something else (practice) instead of a new putter.
to many people think they can buy a game.

Yes. One Saturday morning I saw 2-Bar Putter infomercial on the golf channel and I bought one. It comes in 2 models, the mallet and blade. Both are fairly similar but I prefered the look of the blade. I have now used it for 15+ rounds and my putting has improved dramatically.
