I was practicing my bunker shots in a short game facility near me. The bunker shots came out great, but I'm not sure if im doing the right thing. Basically what im doing is, I do the exact same thing as a normal shot, and i control the distance by either lowering the club head speed or raising it. Normally i barely use any power and it comes up near the pin.

Should i do anything different?

I don't know what you are doing, but the result sounds good.

basic prinicpals of bunker
1) Play foward in your stance
2) Open the club face
3) Hit the sand before the ball
4) follow through.

we will call the pin 12:00
open stance to around 10:30
have club point at target or a little right of target
swing along Stance line, not target line
while doing the rest of what msklar said
