| Re: One Plane Swing for Wedges? I have had trouble with this as well. I have been working on the OPS and with all the clubs down to PW, GW, SW, LW it works great. But when I put one of those clubs in my hands I am forced to use a different swing, a variation on Moe Norman's straight back and through. The problem is I lose distance and I don't like the idea of 2 seperate swings. It seems that using the OPS for these shorter clubs, puts me too close to the ball and I will shank it at times. I have to extend my arms more and lean over to maintain control of those clubs. I am not sure why it happens. At this stage I am merely adapting to the problem, not really addressing it. Not much help except for company misery loves. |

| Re: One Plane Swing for Wedges? Thanlks Dlbrown for your post. Only just come back from holiday and picked it up. I don't know what the answer is. I think the OPS is too flat to give good control on wedge shots, particularly partial ones. Like you I don't like the idea of two swings. Perhaps we shall just have to be miserable until hopefully some expert explains all. |
