Adding weight to clubs Hi, I was wandering if i am allowed under R & A rules to add weight to my putter as i find it easier to putt when i add weight to the clubhead. I've tried it by putting batteries in the gap in my odyssey two-ball and it seemed to work well in my front room but i want to add some proper weighting, am i allowed to do that?

Re: Adding weight to clubs Yes, you're allowed to add weight. Lead tape is the usual method.

Re: Adding weight to clubs I use an adjustable weight putter (mentor sports triad 2 - www.mentorsportstech.com). It's firmly, firmly, firmly in the bag. I tried the Mentor Sports Duet earlier this year, but couldn't get it heavy enough.

Re: Adding weight to clubs Just keep in mind, if/when you play in a tournament what ever weight you have added, your stuck with until the completion of the round, because you can not change the playing chracteristics of your clubs once you start, meaning no adding or removing the weight. If it falls out, you are allowed to replace it, but that is it.
