Chip/ Pitch shots going right

I play a decent short game despite being a high handicapper. However, once in a while something goes wrong with my short chips and pitches and the ball just shoots to the right. Leave alone the embarrassment, I lose so many strokes. I cannot seem to pinpoint the cause. Is it that I am moving my head or body or is that I am, without, knowing cocking my wrist or is it that I am dropping the club without swinging it through. No idea.

Help!!

Hi there. Continuing the saga of chips and pitches. I did get the help through email and what a suprise .. except when I offer a weak shot I am able to get the ball neatly through. Not very accurate though!

The few things that I did learn was .. stand close, have an erect stance if you can and do not slouch, swing through (most important).

Thanks for all the help!

NEXT QUESTIONS

I seem to dread using a sand wedge for my pitching. I reserve it only for bunker play. The reason is that I am not sure about the distance when I am face with varied ground conditions to pitch from. Sometimes the wedge goes right under and lobs the ball up without any distance. Any suggestions?
