Should I change to a different Ball

Currently I use a Taylomade ball and i'm not sure if I should change. Last year I made the decision to hit an extra club into most of the greens, the reason for this being I was leaving a lot short and immediately reaped the benefits, I was finding that my ball would pitch near or a little bit past and stop very quickly which meant I was hitting a lot close to the stick.

PROBLEM

Recently I've found that I have been getting very little or no spin on the ball and the ball has been shooting through the green. I know the simple solution would be to take 1 club less but the success I've had hitting the stronger club is making me very reluctant to do this.

Any ideas/advice would be appreciated.!!!

You played one more club as you were coming up short. Now you're going long, and don't want to take one less club?

Re: Should I change to a different Ball

I assume last year you did not play a Taylormade ball, which brand did you play?

I have never played a TM Ball, but would assume that they would be close to a ProV or Callaway Black.

Has anything else changed from last year? (i.e are the greens harder or faster? has your ball flight/shape of shot changed? distance into the greens? BallMarks close to the same spot?) Because if everything else is the same then I would try a diferent Ball and see if that makes a diference. It also could be that you increased swing speed and are hitting the ball farther or are not hitting greens as much and the ball is running further.
