There has been a noticeable drop in forum participation on this site. I participate in several sites and the one thing I liked about this one was high activity in the forums. It is pretty obvious that some of the frequent posters of the past year are gone. We all know about the cmays departure but shootin4par and Jeff Mann are a couple of members that come to mind also. What is the deal?

It would be great to have more posts this time of year, I am all for itHistorically Dec,Jan are always a quiet time for the forum. The post counts appear similar to past years.
I have been a little busy of late, but you will notice some changes on the site shortly, hopefully this will liven things up a little![]()

Don't forget that some of us with a foot of snow on the ground and -10°C temperatures (or worse) outside get slightly depressedwhen members come on and complain about playing poorly that day. I haven't seen my ball fly more that 30yds since late-october. It will be at least ANOTHER two months
before I get to play outside again.
The only thing that makes me feel better is that I will hopefully be able to get a round in before Lowpost.

A new highlight: Golfing the home course on Christmas Day.
I say it too often: If it's golf club shaped, you can play with it.
For the record, I'm a club doctor, not a swing doctor.
But the civility...it's like a nice breath of fresh air
I'm a golfaholic, no question about that. Counseling wouldn't help me. They'd have to put me in prison, and then I'd talk the warden into building a hole or two and teach him how to play. ~Lee Trevino
If it keeps raining in the UK we will all have to take up water polo.............it hasn't stopped for two weeks........
I do feel sorry for the Canadian lads it must be a real drag not to play at all from October.
Cheer up not long now.
I hate to admit but 3SKs seems to have put a damper on the forums, for me I have lost all interest in swing thoughts and drills etc, I only have three things to do and they are not really swing thoughts. To add I have never ever played better golf that I have since adopting to the 3SKs methodology.
This is the reason for my lack of posts, but I love it here and don't use any others, so I am always interested on peoples rounds and their finding.
Cheers
Ian.
Once you learn the swing, your next step is mastering golf psychology................
As Ian says it hasn't stopped raining for a long time and the forecast for the next few days is for more potential flooding. I generally make a point of not playing in the rain but it looks like I may have to make an exception to this rule otherwise with the current weather I'm not going to get a round in any time soon.
I haven't played a serious round since the end of October.
On a positive note - I've put in a lot of work at the range and my swing is now better than its ever been. However we all know that transferring the range game to the course is a whole different story.
I'm really looking forward to the season as my confidence in my swing is really high.
(I haven't practiced any chipping or putting since October and this will no doubt hurt my game when the season comes round).
since starting to play golf i have played more in the rain than in the dry
looking forward to the start of the season and hoping the weather treats us better this summer
still working hard on the 3skills stuff and its paying big dividends, i will start the season on 21.6 but have been tracking my scores while playing our shorter winter course and currently paying off 12.1!
happy,happy days![]()

No fair.Just make sure that you include those rounds in your handicap.
Amen.
The winters here are also cruel and spiteful. A week and a half ago I had grass spots showing through on my lawn due to a Chinook. So hope of an early spring was beginning but this was dashed with 10cm of snow the next day. Every day I pray that Global Warming would just hurry up so I can get those rainy English winters ... so could everybody please buy an SUV and leave it idling all day ... thanks.![]()
