Podcast

Has anyone at GTO (or any members) ever thought of putting together a Podcast? Was looking yesterday for any decent weekly Golf podcasts with news, tips, interviews etc and theres nothing out there at all

Great idea pnearn lets create our own GTO podcast.

Guys and Gals here is what we need to do.

If you have a microphone attached to your PC or any sound recording equipment attached to your PC that allows you to record your voice in good quality then record it to MP3 format then send it in to us at podcast@golf-tuition-online.com. Depending on the interest and quality of the recordings I will then put together a podcast designed from GTO.

What can your recording include:

Any ideas on the golf swing
Good and bad golf tips that you have received
Etiquette and rules
Interesting golf game formats
Golf hole in one stories
Funny golf jokes (clean ones only)

At the beginning of your recording please introduce yourself by sayin the following:

My name is ???
Age ???
Country/area you live ???
Handicap (say if you do not have one) ???

Lets see if we can get this podcast going...

REMEMBER: Recording is voice only and must be in MP3 format.

Smart idea on the golf podcast...Cant wait.

Here is some free software to help you record your MP3's from any laptop/desktop equipped with recording facilities (you can test this from the sound recorder app in Start->Programs->Accessories->Entertainment

I think it would be great if we could get a weekly GTO show, with interviews with regular members, tips, stories, reviews etc. I think it would probably be quite popluar

Update on the Podcast guys,

I have had one submission so far from our trusted pro GregJWillis. I am looking for at least three submissions in order to build the first podcast. Come on guys. Remember it doesn't need to be about teaching it can be any golf related subject.

Funny golf stories, happenings on the course,
Golf equipment, course reviews,
Rules,
Etiquette on the course.
Golf jokes.

PS: Remember to introduce yourself and your topic at the begining with the submission details as I explained in the second post in this thread (Podcast).

Come on guy's and gals, I still only have ONLY one entry (Go Greg) for the podcast. The first one is going to be aweful short if you don't help.

Im going to try and put something together tomorrow

I was thinking about doing something along the lines of 'My Golfing Week' in which I would detail how my practice is going, the rounds/medals I played in, what was going good/bad, what I need to work on, tips/equipment advice I had heard etc etc

No idea if anyone would be remotely interested but I'll put something together anyway and aim for between 5-10 minutes

Gandalf. Have done a first cut, about 10 minutes long and forwarded it on to podcast@golf-tuition-online.com.

In terms of future ideas for my 'show' i'd love some feedback and also would love some questions, suggestions etc from members that I could put in the next one?

Well Guys I have just uploaded the first podcast. There is a link to it in the navbar at the top of each page entitled "Podcast".

I will aim to put a new entry up each week, so please keep sending in your podcasts.

Just like to say the Pod cast so far has been very good. listened to all of them so far and am looking forward to what is in store for the rest

One other point. is it possible on podcast to have a video aswel. this could be quite useful if it were to talk people through things as it is hard to visualize some of the things said

The podcasts are only audio at present
