| Re: New Blog/Journal System Ian, The new blog/journal system is now up and running... The previous journal entries, which were basically posts in a forum have been closed for new posts as we now have the new blog system up and running. I have ported previous journal entries from the system before last. But unfortunately the forum journal entres cannot easily be moved to the new blog system... I am leaving the previous journal forum up for viewing only, so don't worry no records will be lost... and in time hopefully we can move these old journal posts over to the new system. Apologies for any inconvenience caused... The new Blog system is packed with some great features, I hope you enjoy it...

| Re: New Blog/Journal System greg i deleted the slater170 journal as it was out of date and only had 10 entries and the slat's journal is read only format so i went to set up a new blog and got this message:- "Your blog has been deleted. If you wish to create another, please contact an administrator." ![]() please excuse me but i am a complete technophobe! |

You could copy and paste the other comments out of your thread into your journal, or perhaps make 'comments' on the entries, and just title them with the OP's name. |

| Re: New Blog/Journal System What exactly are the advantages of the new blog system, compared to the Journal section that existed before? I used to read everybody's journal entries as they came up in "Latest Posts," but blog entries don't appear there, so I have to make a special search to find new blog entries. This isn't a huge inconvenience but I'm just wondering what the compensating advantages are. |

I am currently looking into the possibility of adding blog entries to the latest posts feature ![]() The new blog/journal system has many features specific to a blog that the that the forum doesn't:
You also have the ability to create your own categories within your blog i.e. golf course, practise etc... You can also subscribe to other members blogs, and when you have done so any updated content can be viewed in Internet Explorer and other programs that use the Common Feed List. Hope this helps explain just a few of the new features that the new Blog system has to offer... Enjoy
