Correct right hand placement

To add on the previous post on left hands position, so many people can mange to correctly place the left hand, just to ruin it by a faulty right hand position. Many people fail to understand the right hands critical role in supporting the club, they get the fingers very close together, this provides no support, and encourages a hitting action with the right. What you should do is try to spead the fingers out on the club, ESPECIALLY the forefinger (trigger finger), there should be a big gap here between the forefinger and middle finger. This provides much more support.

To illustrate the support I am talking about, take your grip with the fingers of the right hand close together, and stand straight up, like you were talking to someone, allow your arms to fall down on the chest, and relax everything, notice the club shaft will drop below horizontal to the ground, not good. Now try it with the fingers spead, gap with forefinger, the club will be parrallel to the ground, and stay that way no matter how relaxed, or loosely you grip, this is the support you are looking for when holding a club, this puts the shaft at a ninety degree angle to your spine. When you bend over and address the ball and during the swing your angles will be much better.
