| Hello from the UK Hi all Found this site by accident whilst researching courses and glad I did! Some great information here. I am a hacker at present, having played around with golf sparodically over the last 15 years. Just joined a small club which is just 9 holes with the intention of obtaining an official HCP at last. Currently struggle to hit +28 but will get there, as I am now playing 3 times a week! I am also a website owner for a fansite of a PC golf simulation game called Tigerwoods PGA Tour by EASPORTS. We design and recreate all the US PGA Tour courses for use in the game and then run an online tour that mirrors the real US PGA events each week, using the same courses and weather plus green conditions. Currently, we have over 40,000 people who have downloaded our replica courses and we do it all for FREE, people just need a copy of the game. Our site is: http://www.pgax.net and you can see some of the virtual course flyovers that I have created of our designs, at YOUTUBE. (http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...x&search_type=) We also have help from a couple of PGA Pro's who have turned their hand to real course design, together with a few PGA Tour Pro Caddies, with regard to yardage books, course blueprints and other valuable info, so that we can get our recreations as acurate as possible. In my spare time, I am also about to undertake the 2 year EIGCA Diploma. (European Institute of Golf Course Architects) as it is a subject I have been extremely interested in over recent years, mainly borne from designing for PGAX and the game mentioned above. Bit of a mid-life crisis LOL Anyway, just wanted to say hi and to congratulate you guys on presenting a great site. Cheers Zee aka Domino |
