Hello from a complete duffer

Hello all -

I am returning to golf after a five year educational break and remembering why I love/hate this game. Took 6 weeks to get my swing back to a playable degree of control but now my short game (always a weakness) is atrocious. Looks like its time to hit the practice green a little longer...

I am new to Golf. I love watching the tournaments but dont have much clue about the rules that goes in to play the game. If any can give few pointers for someone who likes to watch the game would be helpful.

I am surprised nobody has answered you. There are a lot of rules to golf but don't let that daunt you. Have you taken lessons, gone to a driving range, played a round? If not I suggest you start golf in that order. You can probably find the rules by Googling "Rules of Golf". I think we have a forum called "Golf Rules and Course Etiquette". Go there and fire off some questions. Good luck.
