beginner golfer

hi gto members, i decided to take up golf again first time in 13yrs ...i was at local golf course and the problem i had was at the tee..my drive was slicing right..any tips in how to correct or what i might be doing wrong...sincerly Sammyj

My favourite quick fix - the motorcycle drill. Search GTO for it.

try slowing down your swing as a fast swing you often swing out to in and get that big slice with the driver. slow it down and go for less distance till you get back in a grove again.

thank you for post..i also thought maybe shortening up my back swing might help until i get a nice swing again....maybe like a swing at 60% would that be ok

try about 80% and work on ball striking rather than power, you soon start to get into a swing tempo and be able to speed up a little.
