Angry Kill the ball !!!!!!

What a great game. Just wish I could make consistant contact with the ball. I started on a mat (yea, I saw that, and added my 1.5 cents worth) with foam balls in my front yard. I got prety good at hitting them straight, but everything fell apart when I faced the real thing.
Then I recorded my swing and watched it on the computer, it was ugly! My back swing stoped about shoulder high, my wrists wern't doing anything and my head was bobing all over the place. Thats when I decided it was time to get some lessons. It helped a lot, but I'v got two years of bad swings to get rid of. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Stick with your lessons and work on the drills the instructor gave you.

Re: Kill the ball !!!!!!

He didn't give me any drills. Just said to make a concious effort to hit the ball left.

Re: Kill the ball !!!!!!

Then it's time to find a new instructor. Any good instructor will send you home with something to work on until next time. IMO, a 'concious effort to hit the ball left' will result in a big slice to the right for someone learning a swing.

And without seeing your swing, it's tough to give advice.
