A big hello from Munich

Hi mates,

I used to play a lot of golf in Preston, England while I was living there but since I've been living in Germany, the last 20 years, I havn't managed to play at all. Until this year where I bought myself a new set of clubs, a dam sight diferent than they were 20 years ago.

I think the site here is great, full of information and tips that realy help.

One question for you:- Today I was in the local Golf shop looking at Lob Wedges 54° and 60°, when the golfshop Pro came over and we got chating. He said that Tiger uses nothing else than a Lob wedge for every shot around the green. Is this true or just bla, bla.

All the best,
Ian

I heard Annika S say the same thing - that is, Tiger uses only lob wedges. The average player should probably avoid them.

I'm afraid that's 1st class garbage ... sorry. Tiger uses all of his wedges, his fairway wood (he popularised the shot after all) and a quite often he uses his 8-iron and 9-iron.

it might of been mistaken for jack nickluas, isnt he the one that said something about a good golfer should be able to use a lob wedge around the green in ever situation or some such
