| advice needed i have just taken up golf the natural way i hold a club ive been told is kack handed. this works some of the time and i can hit the ball well my friends say that since i am starting out i should go to the pro at the driving range and get a lesson to put me on the right track. when i hold the club the normal way most people do it dosent feel rigt and i very rarely hit a good ball so i go back to my own style please advice confused ![]() |

| Your friends are right, Red. You should invest anywhere from 30 min to one hour with a club pro. Some colleges have continuing ed. golf lessons. Unless you can get advice you pay for you usually get what you pay for. Having been playing for about 2 years I have gained much by taking as little as two lessons as well as jumped into everything I could keeping in mind that it may or may not work. Golf is such an individual sport that what works for your friends may not work for you. Anyway, work on the drills the pro teaches you diligently and you will be rewarded. |
