New Titleist player

I just recently purchased a new set of Titliest 735's. I have never played with blade irons although there is a slight cavity 3-6. I still have a slight "baseball" swing thanx to many years in the box. I would like to lose this outside in swing and begin going through the ball with a slight draw. Any suggestions would be great hope to hear from yall. God bless good golf to all.

Baseball and golf don't mix. The only thing similar to baseball and golf is that both balls are round.

Do 2 drills for me:

* Stand with your feet together and facing directly away from the target.
* With a 7i, hit a ball at your target.
* You will notice that your left arm is dominate, not the right.
* And, that the right arm rotates over the left AFTER imact.
* You will feel the most difference in your grip now. Let the right hand relax, and place the grip more in the fingers, and not in the palm. This puts the right hand in more of a "on top" of the club position where it gets to hit DOWN on the ball, and not from the side "pushing" it through impact.

Next drill is the "Bench Drill". You will like this one becase it is easy to remember being named after the greatest catcher in the game.

* Find a low back bench, something around hip high.
* Stand behind the bench with your driver, and rest the middle of the shaft along the back.
* Practice the first move back to where the shaft stays in contact with the bench the whole way, until about hip high.
* Do not let the shaft leave the bench and you will hear and feel is slide the whole way.
* Do this slowly.
* You will discover that you can only do this correctly if you use only your shoulders rotating, and not an ounce of movement in the hands, arms or wrists.

This drills the idea that the arms breaking and wrapping around your body are not a source of power, but the shoulders are your source of that power...the wider you can feel them rotate back the better. Be ready to feel a BIG streach in the lower back that you never felt before. Take this very easy at first, and work this drill in a relaxed state. Don't want to go on the DL too soon!

Hey Greg thanks so much for the advice and ideas. I tried the first of the two where i had my feet facing away. I really could feel my left arm dominate. I will continue doing that daily (i hope) and will try the bench one tommorow. Thanks alot again my irons really felt solid and had good flight today. Aaron C.
