| How do Folks After 48 years of watching and wandering, I thought I just might want to start playing a round or two. Just recently moved to Brunswick Ga. and they sure have a lot of courses around here, when in Rome ! I'm looking forward to playing and learning as much as I can. Looks as if there's plenty to learn from on these forums. Jerald |

| Re: How do Folks Hi, Jerald, after lurking the boards for a year I just recently joined also, have been golfing "seriously" now into my third season. As a relatively new golfer myself, I would like to pass on the one experience I've had that has pushed me beyond my buds who have golfed for 10 years...take some lessons! I found (and I've always been involved in outdoor activities) that there is nothing intuitive about the golf swing. Some one has to show you exercises that will train your body/muscles in ways you would have once thought invented by the devil himself. A beginner's package deal is the best money I've ever spent. An annual follow-up for the price of a nice dinner is all you need if you're the least bit athletic. And while group lessons are fun, one-on-one is far better. The beauty about these boards is that they help you understand what you learned at your lessons. When you can't quite remember about "...what did he say about rotating my hips, not slide..?", the board search key becomes an invaluable complement to your lessons. Good luck, have fun! |
