| Long!!!!! What is the best driver 4 hitting a ball long i mean long. I had a titleist 975 banned in the usa I hit this thing very long, best drives were about 300-325. The face cracked along the top witch i was told could happen ohwell, so this time i didnt go for an expensive driver I went with the wilson deep red £50, I have far more fairway drives with this but have lost 30-50 yards and now am getting board, u can't beat belting a ball miles even if u miss the fairway a few times in a round. so if u have any views on this i would love 2 know what u think. I have tryed a taylor made and this was a big hitter. ![]() |

| Re: Long!!!!! Thanks Liam, But this club i'm hitting now would never go as far as the titleist, true a better hitter of the ball would make the ball go long, but I would like to find out what drivers are the longest even if they are band. ps I've read your post about beating 90. I worked on the second shots, chipping close to the hole and putting you don't have to hit the ball long of the tee (but it's nice) hope this helps pps I have a lesson ever month from a local pro he keeps my game together ![]() |

| Re: Long!!!!! You need a driver that'll keep the spin rate down ... most of the modern (the last 3 or 4 years) all have high launch angle & spin rates. They're made to help the average player get more distance but long driving players don't need help ... I'd try a Nike Sasquatch with XStiff shaft or maybe a Mizuno MX500 with a Pro Launch shaft ... Apparently the Titlesit S driver is also a lower spijn driver ... You need to get fitted for a shaft andhead that suits you, but these would be a great place to start. Get a Mid/High kick shaft ... that'll lower the spin rate and launch angle.
