| Bitten by the Bug! Hello Just stumbled across the website so thought i'd join as i'm always interested in new ideas. Been playing (very infrequently- once/twice a year maybe) since the age of 15. Last year went to Mauritius for my brother's wedding and the hotel where we stayed had free Golf on 2 Championship courses (Belle Mare Plage Hotel - if you ever get a chance then go) and i've really been bitten by the bug since then. I still only play about once a month in a golf society, I'm not a member of a club and don't have an official handicap, although at my last society day i scored 41 points playing off 28, the first time i've shot on or above my (unofficial) handicap. I've read a number of articles and bought DVD's galore, and the one thing that has come across is the amount of conflicting information that's out there. i've booked a 2-day intensive course of lessons at a golf school in Sussex and hopefully this will at least give me an idea of the info i can disregard! After that my goal is to shoot sub 90. Good luck everyone |
