Hello all,

I took up golf about two weeks ago and absolutely love it, even though I am struggling to hit the ball past 75 yards. Plan on taking lessons soon, but was wondering if this distance is too low even for beginners?

Hi kalio.
It totally depends on wich numbered club you are practicing with. and the length of your backswing and quality of impact.

go to www.golfsupport.co.uk . click on fundamentals and then click on starting from scratch. This will clear up one or two things for you and get you started on the right foot.

Thanks Aftford. I will check out the site you mentioned. By the way, I have only practiced with irons and it doesn't seem to matter which iron I use the ball goes the same distance for each.
