| Green rookie from Chicago area Hello! Brand new golfer here. Cutting my teeth early after getting a set of clubs from my wife. Did a 9 hole course with my father in law, been to the driving range, and completed my first 18 this morning. On the initial nine, I got a 76...I was happy. On this 18 this morning, I shot a 69, and a 64. So, took quite a few strokes off. Still trying to find my groove. Stance, grip, etc. I enjoy the 5 wood..still terrified of driving, and am basically clueless, but when instructed, I understand when I do something right from wrong. I am a divot champion, shot a few in the drink...but when I am done.and I think this is important, I feel good about things...I am ridiculously competitive, but I realize I am still a puppy...I can take advice from anyone. BTW, I feel a 69 and a 64 sounds a lot better than +61!!!! Glad to have signed up. Tim |
