newbie from Liverpool

Hi everybody. I'm a golf beginner. Just had my first lesson ever this week - started with a half swing using a 7 iron. Booked six lessons, next one is next week. can't wait to get on a course. Anybody recommend a good instruction DVD for a beginner ?

Welcome to the site. Regarding your query on dvd, I would suggest that you continue with your lessons for now. It is a well known fact that dvd, magazines, etc will only confuse your head and put too many different thoughts. If you are getting lessons, stay with the one teaching pattern for now. I might suggest that the golf channel (423) is good viewing with great instruction. As you progress with your lessons, you will surely get to a stage where you will understand what is being discussed on this channel. Then you will be able to practice what you view, having gotten the basics through your teacher.

Leadbetter interactive is probably the best swing tuition dvd out there. It comes in a set of 4 DVD's and also contains a version of V1 swing analysis software.
