Re: Hey All!!! Help the Novice..PLEASE

hey forelife, i havent actually been round a full course yet!! i have only been playing for a few weeks...maybe a month. played a bit wen i was younger but only started it up again because most of the lads at work play and a lot of my family do. Im just having a really hard time with the accuracy of my driver and woods. hooking it off the the right 80% of the time...really knocks my confidence. sometimes wen the balls has finished its flight and coming to the end of its roll it'll be traveling away at a 90degree angle of which it started!!...maybe golf just isnt for me!!

Re: Hey All!!! Help the Novice..PLEASE

First of all my cyber friend I'm glad you decided to play golf again and if you're serious about your game then the upcoming weeks and months ahead are crucial to your development. I started playing when I was 25 with 3 friends who were beginners also, 8 years later 2 of the 4 are pretty good golfers, and I'm stoked to say that I am one of the two that became pretty good and the reason is that both of us agreed on one thing which was FUNDAMENTALS.

Re: Hey All!!! Help the Novice..PLEASE

it takes some time to develop a golf grip some golfers never develop one. It is very very important to have a solid grip, do you own any instructional golf books?

Re: Hey All!!! Help the Novice..PLEASE

Hey guys,

I am reading your posts and will offer some advice. When I started playing this game, I wouldnt listen to advice from most of my friends. That advice was to get a few lessons. I reluctantly did so and believe me, if I hadnt, I wouldnt be where I am now, enjoying the game and close to breaking 80. It doesnt happen overnight but is well worth the effort of getting those lessons and achieving the results you are looking for. Hope this will help
