| Hit em straight! Just joined. Hope to learn and maybe contribute something of value. Playing eight years. Self taught, too stubborn and cheap for lessons. Actually composing an instruction manual from my experience. Not great but not bad with an honest to goodness, no mulligan, best score of 71 on a par 71 Also shot a 2 under on the front nine of the same course, different day, one eagle, one birdie, one bogie. Normally shoot 5-7 over for the round. As Hagen admonished... "control the mind" ![]() |

Who is Hagen - I Googled the name and I came up with a supplier of pet food products - a golfer too - I get it - cool! I have found a lot of useful information and helpful fellow golfers here. I am sure you will find the same. James |

| Re: Hit em straight! I will share bits and pieces of my journey. First and foremost, practice does NOT make perfect. Practicing bad habits is actually counterproductive. Hagen? Sir Walter Hagen. Number 3 on the most majors won (11) behind Nicholas (18) and Woods (12). Number 8 on most PGAs won (44). Start here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Hagen |
