hi new member

question;my home course has many varied holes, and it seems i draw some tee shots, fade some.Is this some sort of auto pilot, due to playing the course so often?Any other members find the same thing on their course?.

Hi there,

You haven't filled your profile in to help with information, but I guess that you are not a novice more than likely the opposite.

Good players arrive at the tee the shape of the hole is the first thing they see and therefore think the shot to match,

HOWEVER..................not as easy as it seems unless you are a good player.

Welcome to GTO

Ian.

Re: hi new member

thanks Ian,yes you r right, when i was younger i played off 5 handicap.I am now 65y.old and play off 9.I played yesterday and i come to a hole, long par 4, and for the 4th time in a row ,i pushed the drive.proberly because there is a huge bunker on the left side.Maybe my memory bank is over active.

Re: hi new member

This can happen to any player who thinks HAZARD.

No doubt when you were younger your only thought was where to land the ball, now older and wiser you think more about what not to do. This is always fatal which I am sure you know, if you can't help it then think bunker but play a fade or draw off it as a target.

Positve thinking.............!!!!!

Thanks

Ian.
