uniflex shafts

hi everyone, just registered and i'd like to know about the uniflex shafts, currently i'm playing handicap 14. At the moment i'm using a regular steel shaft and i'm not happy with the distance...will the uniflex shaft help improve my distance?

Re: uniflex shafts

Flexible shafts will not really improve your distance unless you have a very slow swing speed under 80 mph with a driver, they are primarily made for senior. Don't know how old you are, but if you are a normal male with swing speeds in the 90+ mph range, anything under a regular shaft will be very difficult to control, you would over load/bend the shaft, over 100 mph could potentially even be dangerous, you might snap the shaft and hurt yourself or someone nearby.

My best advice is spend the money to go to a club fitter, have him test you and recommend a shaft suited to your swing. You can also get close and check a club fitting guide on the internet, answer a few question, they will suggest a shaft you might be suited for, not as accurate, but better then nothing.

You can goto the golfwarehouse and run the customizer, you don't have to buy the clubs, just do the customize utility and see what says you need, then you will have some idea.
