Hello another slice problem

I only slice the ball when i'm hitting off the tee.It happens with my driver,#3 and 5wood.When i use my 3w and 5w off the fairway turf it goes straight.Does anyone know what i should try.

Re: Hello another slice problem

Move the ball further back in the stance off the tee, you are probably catching the ball when you swing has already started coming back inside. In the fairway you are not teed up, and maybe ok with the ball position. Without seeing you swing or your setup, it a shot in the dark at best, but when I hear someone say that it is ok in the fairway and slice off the tee, that is usually the calprit, setup either alignment or ball position, for some reason that tee makes everyone want to move the ball forward. You also have to realize, when you widen the stance, it is the same as moving the ball more foward too.

To illustrate - take your driver stance and ball position, now bring your right foot to a narrow stance, like you were hitting a wedge. Now the ball hasn't moved physically, but in relation to you and your golf swing it most diffinately moved back in your stance. Why, because when you move the feet, your body moves with it, which is why you should set the ball position off the body, not the feet. Play driver off the left armpit, FW woods, long irons off your left breast pocket, mid irons off the left ear, short irons right under your nose. See if that helps some...

Re: Hello another slice problem

Hello again
Well i've tried advice from three pro's now and i still have the big slice problem. However the last time at the driving range i lucked out.The guy hitting balls beside me noticed the problem right away.It turns out that juring the backswing i was shifting all my wieght to my right leg and dropping my right shoulder like a baseball pitcher that throws sidearm. So once i started focusing on keeping my shoulders close to level on the downswing i started seeing my ball go straighter and straighter.
